A referral code is a unique code assigned to a Telgoo5 customer that they can share with others. When someone uses the referral code to sign up purchase, the person who shared the code may receive a referral bonus or any other incentives. The person who uses the referral code may also receive a discount or other benefits as an incentive to sign up or make a purchase. Telgoo5 referral codes are a win-win for both the service provider and the customer, as the service provider gains new customers, and the customer receives a bonus or discount.
There are two configuration settings for enabling the Refer a Friend and Referral QR Code features in Telgoo5.
Here, we are specifically trying to enable the configuration for the Refer a Friend button in the customer service representative (CSR) interface. We will discuss the second configuration of Referral QR Code setting for entering the website referral URL later.
To enable the Refer a Friend feature in Telgoo5 CSR, you need to set the Enable Refer Friend option to Y in the Telgoo5 configuration page under CSR Config of System Config.
Config Location:- Telgoo5 > Setting > System Config > CSR Config >Enable Refer Friend
This setting is for the website URL that the customer will receive as their referral URL to share with their friends and family. Following steps lead us on the setting page, where we can set our website’s URL for Referral QR code config.
Config Location:- Telgoo5 > Setting > System Config > Inventory > Referral URL through QR Code
- Click on the Setting icon at top-right of Telgoo5 dashboard.
- Click on the System Config (PC234).
- Click on the Inventory section.
- Enter website URL in Referral URL through QR Code.
We can see a customer’s referral code or QR code in Telgoo5 system. The Generate Referral Link option will appear under the shipping queue only, if a URL is set under the configuration settings (which is mentioned above). Furthermore, this option will only be available for active orders.

When we click on Generate Referral Link, the following popup window will be displayed which will be showing a Referral QR Code.
The Telgoo5 system offers two ways of notifications for customers to receive their referral QR code:
- The first method involves sending the QR code to the customer through a new order shipment tracking notification when their order is shipped. To send this notification, the New Order Shipment Tracking Notification template must be activated in the system.
- The second method is by sending an email notification to the customer by using the Refer a Friend button from Telgoo5 CSR. To enable this option, the Refer a Friend notification template must be activated in the system.
These methods provide customers with easy access to their referral QR code, enabling them to share it with their friends and family.
Email Notification at the time of shipment tracking
When a customer places a successful order, they will receive an email notification containing their referral code at the time of shipment. The following image illustrates an example of the email notification received by a customer, which includes the tracking details and their referral QR code.
Email Notification through Refer a Friend button from Telgoo5 CSR
In addition to receiving their referral code at the time of shipment, customers can also be sent their referral code at any time through the 'Refer a Friend' button in the Telgoo5 CSR. The following images illustrate an example of the email notification that customers receive when the 'Refer a Friend' button is clicked.

A notification will be sent to customer with referral QR code.
When a new customer creates an order through a referral link or referral QR code, the referral ID of the referring customer is displayed at the time of creating order to ensure that he is referral program.
Yes, here is report available to observe the referral program. Follow the steps mentioned below to access Referral report.
- Click on Report (PC224) in Telgoo5 left panel.
- Click on All Reports (PC428).
- Click on Referral Report (PC1102) under Customer Report section.
Referral Report Location: Telgoo5 > Report (PC224) > All Reports (PC428) > Referral Report (P1102)
To access the Referral Report (P1102) in Telgoo5, we would first need to log in to the platform and navigate to the left panel, where we will find a section labeled Report (PC224). Click on this section to expand it, and then select All Report (PC428) from the list of available options. This should bring up a list of all the available reports in Telgoo5. Look for Referral Report (P1102) and click on it to access the report.
The Referral Report (P1102) is likely to provide detailed information on the performance of our referral program, including the number of referrals generated, the number of orders placed as a result of those referrals under a searched date range. By regularly reviewing this report, we can gain insights into the effectiveness of our referral program and make data-driven decisions to optimize its performance.
