Introducing a new config-based security feature that enables users to manage their login access and activity across multiple devices and locations with ease. This user-specific setting allows users to set limits on their accounts without affecting others.
By utilizing this feature, users can specify the number of parallel sessions that can coexist simultaneously. Additionally, users can end active sessions in case they reach the defined limit of multiple logins.
To access this new feature, follow these simple steps. Firstly, enable the config by accessing the setting button at the top-right of the Talgoo5 dashboard. Then, navigate to System Config (PC234) --> User Settings and look for Prevent User Multiple Login.
By default, the config is set to NO, which means everything will work as it has been running until now with no restrictions. To enable login restrictions, keep Prevent User Multiple Login config as YES and save changes. Once you enable it, the default value is 1 under Allowed Multiple Login setting which means every user can only login at 1 platform at a time. If it is 2 then every user can login at 2 platform at a time.
Hovering the mouse cursor over the "i" icon next to the config text will display a message with the name of the person who modified the config and the date and time when the config was modified. Clicking on the "i" icon will display the entire list of changes made to the config in detail.
We can allow different number of Login Restriction for any particular user by allowing them from User Config Settings.
Once the config (Setting --> System Config (PC234) --> User Settings --> Prevent User Multiple Login) is set to "Yes," go to the user setting (Setting --> User Settings (PC480)) and edit the account of the particular user.
Edit a user account here to allow login limit.
Here, a new field with the name Restrict Multiple Logins will be appeared there. "Yes" will restrict multiple logins, with a dropdown field appearing named Login limit allowing users to define the number of concurrent sessions an account can have. By default it is set as No.
Any value between 1 and 15 can be selected from the dropdown, and the chosen value will be the count of active sessions this account can have at any given time. Once selected and saved, this config will come into effect and will be valid across all platforms (telgoo5, enrollment portal, Agent App etc.).
Whenever the limit of active sessions is reached, a pop-up will display on the next login. The user has the option to either select and end one or more active sessions by using the checkbox or close all sessions by clicking the Logout from other device button without selecting anything.
With the cancel login button, users can cancel the current login attempt while keeping the previously active sessions intact. When Logout from other device is used, and an existing session is terminated, the device will receive a notification on the other device when the session ends.
